World Environment Day serves as a global reminder of our collective responsibility toward protecting the environment and preserving natural resources for future generations. In observance of this important occasion, Srijan Foundation, in collaboration with Gahari Foundation and the Indian Army, organized a meaningful environmental awareness and community engagement initiative at Jaipur Military Station on 5 June 2026.
The event brought together citizens, social organizations, community leaders, and members of the armed forces with a shared commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development. Guided by the theme “Ending Plastic Pollution”, participants emphasized the urgent need to reduce environmental degradation and adopt eco-friendly practices in daily life.
A significant highlight of the event was the gracious presence of Shri Ashok Gehlot, Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, who interacted with attendees and appreciated the efforts being made by organizations and communities to promote environmental responsibility. His participation added inspiration to the occasion and reinforced the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges.
The program focused on raising awareness about environmental protection, encouraging responsible waste management, promoting sustainable living practices, and fostering stronger community participation in conservation efforts. Representatives from Srijan Foundation, Gahari Foundation, and the Indian Army shared their perspectives on the importance of preserving nature and creating a healthier environment for future generations.
The collaboration showcased how government leaders, social organizations, defense personnel, and citizens can work together to create a positive environmental impact. The event also highlighted the role of community-driven initiatives in supporting national and global sustainability goals.
Through this World Environment Day celebration, Srijan Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to creating awareness, encouraging responsible environmental practices, and inspiring individuals to become active contributors to a cleaner and greener future.
As environmental challenges continue to grow, such collaborative efforts remind us that meaningful change begins with collective responsibility. Every small action taken today contributes to building a sustainable tomorrow.
“The future of our planet depends on the actions we take today.”
Srijan Foundation extends its gratitude to Shri Ashok Gehlot, the Indian Army, Gahari Foundation, volunteers, and all participants whose support and dedication made this initiative successful and impactful. Together, we can continue working toward a healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable world.
